GE Plastics of the United States introduced the "Valox" series of ultra-high-mobility PET resins. The goal of this development is to make it easy for automakers and component manufacturers to manufacture thin and large components with precise and delicate shapes with low injection pressure. Valox resin is PET reinforced with glass fibers and inorganic fillers and has achieved more than twice the flow of existing PET resins in spiral flow tests.
By increasing fluidity, even molds with complex shapes can fill all corners. Therefore, it is possible to concentrate a plurality of functions on the same component, and it is easier to form a small-sized and thin connector having a power distribution box and a plurality of pins, a fan blade of an air conditioner, and the like. In addition, the maximum filling pressure can be reduced by 25 to 30% compared to the same level of the original product.
By increasing the forming performance, it is possible to increase the number of moldings that can be formed once, thereby reducing the cycle time and system cost. In addition, the use of the existing equipment can also improve the forming efficiency and reduce labor by lowering the melting temperature, the forming temperature, and the like.
